Discover the Power of the Unconscious Mind

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have the ability to change your behavior, core beliefs and even deep-seated memories that have been bothering you for the longest time?

If you have thought of these things then it is possible that a part of you that you havenít used for a long time is actually reaching out to you from depths of your mind. That ëthingí is actually your own subconscious mind.

The human mind is divided into two distinct halves: the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. The conscious mind is responsible for logical and rational thinking.

When you have to solve a puzzle or a mathematical equation, it is the conscious mind that ensures that you are able to do these things. The conscious mind is also responsible for enforcing beliefs and habits.

It is the guardian of the mind and more than anything, it is capable of resisting or outwardly rejecting new ideas that does not fit into its mold of what is correct, acceptable or true.

The subconscious mind is the fertile, larger body of the mind. It is where our creativity, desires, emotions and imagination resides. When an idea is embedded into the subconscious mind, it is nurtured and eventually assimilated as part of a larger group of core/essential beliefs.

The subconscious mind is capable of fully influencing the conscious, logical mind. This the reason why the conscious mind is so preoccupied with protecting the subconscious mind ñ because it would be dangerous if a person was influenced so readily.

The conscious mind cannot be influenced the same way. It only has two mechanisms: accept and reject. If an idea does not fit into the template of what is acceptable, it is rejected, no butís or ifís.

If an idea or proposition seems ideal based on a personís core beliefs, it is accepted and supported. The conscious mind is so well-designed that it has several degrees of protection against potentially dangerous ideas.

If the conscious mind is so well-designed in terms of rejecting new ideas, then how can you take advantage of the power of the subconscious mind? The answer is actually quite simple: self-hypnosis.

Self-hypnosis is a natural state of hyper-focus. When the mind focuses on something so strongly, the conscious mind is momentary suspended. There are two ways to access the subconscious through hypnosis.

First, you can perform hypnosis on yourself through visualization, meditation and even self-hypnosis recordings. Second, you can visit a hypnotherapistís office and have him hypnotize you.

The hypnotherapist will interview you so he would know about motivations for self-hypnosis. The hypnotherapist will then create a hypnosis script that will help you achieve your personal goals.

A self-hypnosis session usually consists of four distinct phases: hypnotic induction, deepening, hypnotic suggestions, post-hypnosis. The first two parts of the hypnosis session will be responsible for relaxing you and disabling the conscious defenses of the mind.

Once these defenses have been temporarily turned off the hypnotist will then use affirmations and other hypnotic suggestions in the attempt to modify existing emotions, ideas and beliefs that need to be changed.

In the post-hypnosis phase, the person receiving the hypnosis will be asked to forget the session completely so that he does not over-analyze and reject the hypnotic suggestions.
